The Importance of Chiropractic Treatment

Health and wellbeing matters. We become very aware of the importance of general health and wellbeing when we experience something such as back pain or a strained muscle and then try to carry out our normal day to day activities.

This is where we step in with our skills and knowledge in chiropractic care. We treat and provide education to our patients in matters of musculo-skeletal health and overall wellbeing.

Passionate about sport, the staff at Nineways comprises three chiropractors; Inger Villadsen, Joseph Bradshaw and Ciaran Lavers, along with two massage therapists – Rebecca Williams and Martin Vaughan.

Ciaran, our newest team member, has brought a wealth of experience to the clinic. Previously working with a Grade 1 AFL Team as a sports trainer, Ciaran is knowledgeable on strapping, treating players, sports injury massage and, developing exercise plans for rehabilitation as well as injury prevention.

Being a competitive tennis player since the age of ten, he has spent his entire life involved with sport, both coaching and mentoring players of all levels. With a personal interest in the healing process, he has extended his studies to include dry needling, DNS and functional movement – all services offered at Nineways Clinic.

Joe Bradshaw enjoys using his legs, whether it be sprinting, track and field or soccer, a game he has played his entire life. He understands the importance of muscle joints and brings an array of experience in targeted assessment and treatment.

As a chiropractic clinic, we work closely with many athletes, from committed professionals to those who simply enjoy a good workout. We tailor individual programs to ingrain proper movement patterns, giving your body the optimal environment to increase function. This, in turn, allows you to perform and compete for many years to come.

As we enter a new year, so do our promises to ourselves to exercise more, lose weight and get healthier overall. There are certain types of warm-ups suited for different workouts, based on your sport intensity level, age, body type, previous injuries and, fitness level.

All of these factors play a part in determining what your body needs in a warm-up to perform effectively and minimise the chances of injury.

What you do now does matter.
