The Lake Macquarie Dobell Festival is a vibrant, month-long annual celebration of the arts, inspired by the life and legacy of the esteemed artist Sir William Dobell. The festival showcases a diverse program, including exhibitions, workshops, and presentations that explore various aspects of Dobell's life and artistic contributions. A highlight of the event is the Annual Festival of Art & Craft, hosted by the Wangi Lions Club. This popular event offers a chance to view and purchase unique works by local artists, celebrating the creative spirit that Dobell so strongly embodied.
