HMRI Live Streamed Event - Healthy Ageing
No matter how old you are, it's never too late or too early to take positive action to improve your health and wellbeing. What do you need to do to set yourself up for a longer, healthier life? What is the research telling us?
These are the questions that will be answered at the Hunter Medical Research Institute’s next virtual community seminar – Healthy Ageing: Planning for a Long and Active Life.
Featuring presentations by nationally and internationally recognised healthy ageing experts Professor Julie Byles and Professor Kichu Nair, this event explores the importance of prevention and planning for healthy ageing and how we can achieve and maintain quality of life as we grow older.
Professor Byles and Professor Nair have been working together for over 25 years. They will discuss some of the important diseases that can be prevented, and how looking forward to older age is important in staying strong and seeking the help needed to maintain wellbeing long into later life.
This event will be live-streamed on Facebook and is relevant to anyone who would like to learn how to live better for longer. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions, which will be answered by our speakers at the event. If you have any questions, you’d like to ask, please email them to communications@hmri.org.au or ask them on the Facebook page on the night.
