Newcastle's cabaret stars, musicians and artists unite at the Newcastle Club on 15 November for a special fundraiser supporting sarcoma cancer patients.
The Newcastle Summer Arts Party features the one-night return of legendary cabaret performer Denise Gold, who dazzled at Mardi Gras and Fringe festivals before becoming a Newcastle lawyer. Acclaimed acapella group Bella Voce and covers band 4FX will also perform.
An art auction showcasing works from leading local artists, including Michael Bell, Janet Clouston and Stephen Cornwall, adds to the evening's attractions, with the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation matching funds raised to $18,000.
Proceeds will support patients like 23-year-old Jac Mathot, who's receiving experimental treatment for metastatic Ewing sarcoma costing over $12,000 every three weeks.
Tickets include three hours of drinks and canapés overlooking Newcastle Harbour and are tax-deductible. Booking at www.trybooking.com/DFSOE.
