National Youth Ballet Company Set to Shine in Special Triple Bill Performance
The National Youth Ballet Company (NYBC) is collaborating with multi-award-winning creatives; iOTA, Graeme Murphy, Cyrus Meurant and Brett Morgan for special, must-see performances on 13 August 2022 at Newcastle’s St Phillip's Christian College Theatre, and 16 August 2022 at the Central Coast’s Laycock Theatre in Wyoming.
A debut performance for the Company, this amazing amalgamation of three works is supported by Australia’s leading choreographers, composers, musicians and costume designers.
The event is bringing to Newcastle the multi-award winning singer, songwriter, musician and actor, iOTA, Australia's premier choreographer Graeme Murphy AO, critically acclaimed composer Cyrus Meurant and the incredibly talented professional dancer turned Artistic Director, Brett Morgan.
Premiering this exciting new Triple Bill, guests will be treated to a wonderful evening of entertainment for everyone.
Piece One: "Au Revoir mon ami" is a newly composed and choreographed piece of work composed by Cyrus Meurant and choreographed in sections by Brett Morgan OAM, Timothy Gordon, Debbie Ellis Linnert and Jake Burden.
Piece Two: "Banged and Tap" from "Synergy with Synergy". Created by the renowned choreographer Graeme Murphy AM and renowned percussionist Michael Askill.
Piece Three: "Berlin Songs" is a recreation of five songs, performed by the eclectic and entertaining performer iOTA from the original work of Graeme Murphy’s "BERLIN".
