More Accolades for Boutique Winery


McLeish Estate continue to affirm their position as the Hunter Valley’s most awarded boutique winery by consistently producing an outstanding range of single vineyard wines. The family-owned winery celebrate their 30th Vintage in the Hunter Valley this year and at the industry’s definitive Wine Shows, the company has been praised for the single vineyard wines, receiving three trophies, four gold and seven silver awards.

McLeish Estate is currently celebrating their dual Trophy win for their 2007 Cellar Reserve Semillon, which received the Best Named Vineyard Semillon at the prestigious Hunter Valley Wine Show and the 2009 Cellar Reserve Semillon, which received the Best Open Vintage Semillon at the Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show. The McLeish Estate Semillon is produced in a single vineyard on the Estate.

McLeish Estate’ 2013 Chardonnay received the coveted title for the Best Open Vintage Chardonnay, as this year’s trophy winner at the Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show. The wine was judged against the Hunter Valley regions finest producers. The single vineyard wine expresses the elegance of the variety while maintaining the Hunter Valley’s lingering persistence and intensity.

Robert McLeish, owner of McLeish Estate Wines said of his family owned winery’s success so far this year, “Having created a winery and produced wine in the Hunter Valley for thirty years, I have to say that this year’s show results for McLeish wines have definitely been a highlight. It is a great attribute to our cellar door, vineyard and winery team who work cohesively to produce the standout wines. The hallmark Hunter Valley characters are reflected in our highly awarded Semillon that has achieved International, National and now Regional Wine Show success.”

McLeish Estate Wines have asserted their position as the Hunter Valley’s most awarded boutique winery, successfully producing their range of premium wines for the past 30 years, with owners Robert & Maryanne McLeish overseeing all aspects of the family business. The wines are produced using only hand-harvested fruit from the Estate on DeBeyer’s Road in Australia’s most historic wine producing region of Pokolbin.
