Due to the current NSW Government Public Health Orders in place, plans for the traditional commemorations including ANZAC Day marches and services have been altered to ensure that community safety is maintained first and foremost.
Fort Scratchley ANZAC Day Program
Dawn – 4 rounds Mark VII guns
8 am – 2 rounds Mark VII guns
12 noon – Fort Scratchley opens to the Public*
1 pm – 4 rounds Mark VII guns
3 pm – 4 rounds Mark VII guns
4 pm - Fort Scratchley closes
ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Nobby's Beach - CANCELLED TO THE PUBLIC*
(live on NBN Television and 1233 ABC radio, 5am to 6am)
ANZAC Day March - Hunter St - CANCELLED TO THE PUBLIC*
Marches and Services also cancelled in:
Beresfield, Speers Point, Teralba, Belmont, Morisset, Ryhope, Lambton Redhead
and West Wallsend
LIGHT UP THE DAWN - How will you light up the dawn this year? The choice is yours – commemorate our veterans with a traditional Dawn Service at your local cenotaph, or honour them from home at 6am. We are committed to safely honouring our veterans, past and present - whether at traditional services, or by commemorating personally at home.
