Oliver Jr is coming to Warners Bay Theatre, presented by Hive Youth Theatre and performed by a cast of talented local young actors and singers.
Based on the beloved Dickens story and set in Victorian London in the 1830s, Oliver Jr is packed with big characters, high-energy ensemble numbers, and the songs audiences know and love. Expect favourites including Food, Glorious Food, Who Will Buy? and Consider Yourself, all brought to life by young performers aged 9 to 16 years, training in acting and voice.
Director Bridget Ponman says, “The young actors in this show have a deep passion for musical theatre that shines through in every moment on stage, creating a truly captivating performance.”
Hive Youth Theatre is a Charlestown-based theatre company for children and teens, specialising in talent-based training in acting and voice. With experienced mentors and a smaller, more personal approach to theatre training, students receive close guidance and meaningful stage time, building real skills, confidence, and friendships.
Oliver Jr runs from 28 to 31 May at Warners Bay Theatre. Recommended for ages 7+, the show runs approximately 60 minutes with no interval.
