This is what's happening around Lake Macquarie this December

Saturday 10 December

Lago di Mac - Lap of the Lake at Thomas H Halton Park at Croudace Bay

Get along to this inaugural festival and celebrate all things Italian around the gorgeous shores of Lago di Mac. A day to enjoy three of our favourite loves – family, food, and fine Italian automobiles and motorcycles. Thomas H Halton Park at Croudace Bay will showcase local produce - coffee, Italian food, artisan stalls, amazing gelato, an Antipasto and Aperol Spritzer zone, live music and games for kids and families to enjoy!

Sunday 11 December

Lake Mac Carols at Speers Point Park

Lake Macquarie City Council is proud to present a spectacular evening of entertainment, as we count down to Christmas at the Lake Mac Carols.

The free event will feature kids activities along with food trucks, roving entertainment and a jam-packed main stage program from 5pm-8.30pm including a special visit from Santa! Organise friends and family and celebrate the festive season under the stars! We remember and respect the Ancestors who care for and nurture the Country. It is in their footsteps that we travel these lands and waters. We acknowledge the Awabakal people and elders past, present and emerging.

Lake Mac Art Prize at Museum of Art and Culture

The Lake Mac art prize is an exhibition of finalist artworks selected from submissions for the Lake Art Prize. Discover works by artists from across Australia reflecting the theme 'The Vessel: contained within the moving between'. In working with the theme, artists were invited to explore literal or lateral translations of the vessel.

Every Friday Night

Friday Night Noodles at Multi-Arts Pavilion mima

For a Friday night treat, grab dinner by the lake at the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima). They will be hosting a selection of local food vans on site from 5pm until 8pm each week. Enjoy the art and a local wine or beer in our outdoor licensed area, with a different food vendor each week.
