Variety, The Children's Charity is Getting Set to Host a Day of Free-for-all Fun in Newcastle!


The Variety Family Fun Day is intended to welcome the convoy of over 130 novelty Variety Bash vehicles back from their outback adventure when they roll in around lunch-time; offering the public a unique opportunity to see the madcap vehicles decorated in there different themes and meet the colourful crews that drive them, as well as a host of other free entertainment.

 

The very special event will mark the completion of the 2,160km Variety NSW Bash charity motoring event for the big-hearted convoy after departing from Dubbo on May 21st and travelling to Eugowra, Greenthorpe, Stockinbingal, Leeton, Conargo, Bunnaloo, Echuca, Lowesdale, Narrandera, Murrumburrah, Thirlmere, and St Marys, stopping at remote schools along the way to provide much needed grants for equipment.

The Variety Family Fun Day will include a host of free live entertainment including stage performances by The amazing Jono (Magician), Chance to Dance (a dance troop staring children with disabilities), local band Wez Thompson and The Voice contestant, Piper Butcher who is also a past recipient of a Variety Heart Scholarship.

Other entertainment will include face painting, petting zoo, fairy floss, balloon sculptures, amusement rides and the Hunter Heroes will also be there meeting and greeting kids. For a small $5 donation, kids can get unlimited access to all activities.

Families are invited to pack a picnic or purchase some yummy treats from the catering vans at the event and make a day of it. Themed cars include Avengers, Transformers, Star Wars, Scooby Doo, Thomas the Tank Engine, Flinstones, NRL, Smurfs plus many, many more!
