Time to Reset

This Summer, City of Newcastle has created a range of fun, easy and safe ways for our community to come together at the end of a year where often we have felt far apart.

Join us, as we say goodbye to a year most will be glad to see behind us – and, most importantly, celebrate our hope for the future ahead. We’ve supported each other through the tough times, showing the resilience and compassion that lies in the heart of who we are. Now, it’s time to RESET.

The RESET 2021 program has been developed to encompass and unite all ages and areas across the Newcastle region. From letting your hair down at pool parties and picnics, escaping in the magic of cinema, or even the magic of music to looking through the lens of the some of the country’s best rock photographers – there’s something for everyone. Even better, most of it is free!

Feel like a BBQ?

Grab your City of Newcastle App to explore a new park, and find out what facilities are available to make sure you’ll have access to a BBQ, running water, picnic tables and toilets.

Need to escape the heat?

Grab some popcorn and escape the heat at the Civic Theatre Cinema program.

Experience life as a rock star at Newcastle Art Gallery’s WE COULD BE HEROES: A Backstage Pass exhibition.

Curate your own journey through the 1x4 exhibition at the Newcastle Museum, or discover the world of 'Colour' in a special exhibition direct from Questacon.

Ever seen a robot dance?

Visit our new digital library at 12 Stewart Ave where you can meet Pepper the Robot, explore space on our interactive screen, or pick up the latest new release books.

Want to make getting around easier?

Download the EasyPark app to start, stop and extend your parking in the city from the touch of a button on your phone.

Or better yet, grab a Bykko e-bike and cruise past the cars stuck in traffic, and feel the breeze on your skin as your explore the freedom of stopping each time you want to take a selfie.

Looking for Inspiration?

Visit our What’s On website for a vast array of events to help keep your days full of activity. You can also view the What’s On website on our City of Newcastle App so that you can plan your next activity on the go.

So, grab your family and friends and make your itinerary. Let’s RESET!
