Tim Freedman “Hot Autumn Nights 2021” is coming to Lizotte's Newcastle!

Tim Freedman will re-emerge this Saturday March 6 to kick off a brand new solo tour "Hot Autumn Nights 2021" in a 22 show run through NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.

After 35 sold out dates in November and December, you can safely assume he has rediscovered his work ethic. This snappy lap of the country will preview more songs from The Whitlams' forthcoming album "Gaffage and Clink", including the imminent single “Man About a Dog” (out April 16), a tale set in the breaking of the drought and the occasionally pleasant dissipation of the Covid lockdown.

Performing to limited capacities, and bringing a grand piano to most of the venues, Freedman will once again mix cabaret and rock with a few laughs and his own sardonic style.

Limited tickets are still available for some shows at https://thewhitlams.com/tour/

The Daily Telegraph said of his recent show at the City Recital Hall, "The tall and gangly front man charmed and cajoled his 400-strong “spaced out” audience with all the debonair flair of a Bryan Ferry....The stripped back accompaniment of the piano highlighted just how cleverly constructed his lyrics are – they sound so uncontrived, which is hellish difficult to do as any would-be songwriter will tell you."
