The Levee Shared Zone will be in full bloom on Saturday 20 September from 10am to 2pm, as the popular Bling and Bloom market returns offering a vibrant mix of seasonal flowers and creations from local makers and producers.
Now a firm favourite on Maitland’s spring calendar, the market will feature more than 20 stallholders offering everything from jewellery and accessories to original artworks, artisan pottery, botanical-inspired designs, floral arrangements and locally roasted coffee.
Adding to the atmosphere, students from Rutherford Technology High School will take to the 'Budding Performers' stage throughout the day, showcasing their talents in both live music and art.
Maitland City Council Coordinator City Events and Activation Adam Franks said Bling and Bloom captures the essence of spring at The Levee.
"Bling and Bloom transforms The Levee Shared Zone into a lively market, and this year we’re welcoming a fantastic mix of talented local makers.
“It’s the perfect chance to find one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces while enjoying a day out with family and friends.
"We also encourage visitors to make the most of The Levee’s cafes, restaurants and boutique shops, supporting local makers while enjoying everything our city centre has to offer," Mr Franks says.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to connect with Council’s Environment and Sustainability team, who will be on hand to answer questions about the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) service.
With a diverse mix of florals, jewellery, art and produce, Bling and Bloom is the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring in the heart of Maitland. For stallholder details and event updates, visit thelevee.com.au/bling-and-bloom.
