Taste and Create at the Festival of Two Palettes

Shimmering Blue by John McCartin. Image supplied by: Morpeth Gallery.

One of the Hunter region’s prime destinations, Morpeth Gallery is home to many fabulous artworks, such as South Australian artist John McCartin’s ‘Shimmering Blue’, which has just won a major award in America.

The gallery will host the annual Festival of Two Palettes on Saturday, 11 and Sunday, 12 March. Incorporating the art palette with the food and wine palate allows visitors to see paint slide over the canvas to form an image of beauty in front of their eyes.

Fourteen of Australia’s finest artists will be painting at their easels so you can learn directly from the masters about their techniques, subjects, and achievements! Being highly acclaimed in their chosen field of art, the artists are truly amazing to watch as they peacefully work away. In addition, each artist has donated a miniature painting to be given away through raffle draws. You don’t want to miss this!

Don’t forget about the food either! Morpeth Gourmet Foods will supply plenty of sweet and savoury treats, making the perfect accompaniment to art.
