School holidays can be a welcome break for teens, but they can also mean long days indoors, endless screen time, and little movement. At Urth Fitness, we wanted to offer a different kind of break, one that gives high school students a safe place to move, clear their heads, meet new friends and feel part of a community.
Urth Fitness’ School Holiday Pass invites teens to spend part of their summer reprieve in the gym, learning how to use equipment properly and building confidence in a supervised, welcoming environment. From the moment they walk through the door, our reception team is ready to guide them on their way to building healthy habits, with a quick tour and plenty of reassurance that they don’t need to know “all the ins and outs” of weight training to belong here.
On the gym floor, staff are close by to answer questions and educate them on the equipment, showing teens how to properly set up plate or pin-loaded machines or navigate the treadmills. There is no pressure to perform. The focus is on helping them discover what movement they enjoy, whether that is a light weights session, some time on the cardio machines or a mix of both.
Most importantly, the pass gives local teens a positive place to spend time with friends, build healthy routines and experience the mental health benefits of regular exercise. For parents, it’s the comfort of knowing their kids are in a supportive space that values safety, respect and genuine connection. Between December 19 and January 26, the School Holiday Pass is an invitation for teens to swap some screen time for strength, confidence and community.
Please bring your teen into one of the Urth Fitness’ receptions for them to join anytime during that period, as they’ll need a parent/guardian consent form filled out. They will be given a free ‘Intro’ Membership during this time, and be able to attend during staffed hours.
