Civic Theatre Newcastle proudly presents season 2022.
Adversity often spurs Creativity and, without question, 2022 will be a year for reigniting our city's cultural spark. To celebrate, you're invited to rediscover the excitement that live performance brings - from theatre, comedy, musicals and circus to kids shows; there is something for everyone at the Civic Theatre.
The specially curated Season 2022 includes a diverse mix of genres and new offerings, including both local and national touring productions. Local Novocastrian productions include Creativity, an original new work from perennial favourites, Stray Dogs Theatre Co.; Grappling from the Edge by Catapult Dance; and Airness from Knock & Run Theatre.
This Season will also see the return of the Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals, so get ready for some laughs. Bring the kids along to Erth's Prehistoric World or Wolfgang's Magical Musical Circus. Get your musical fix with The Sapphires by HIT Productions. Enjoy mainstage theatrical productions, Jane Eyre, by shake&stir theatre co. and Black Cockatoo by Ensemble Theatre.
