On the weekend, the Northstars were victorious at home against the visiting Central Coast Rhinos winning 13-3.

“That game was unbelievable, the fans are great. The result was fantastic and you can't ask for much better than that, but this crowd exceeded my expectations. It’s going to be a fun year for these fans”

Head Coach Kevin Noble

“It’s obviously good to get the win, and that’s what I told the guys. That being said I think we have a lot of work to do. It's been good early on to see where we are at and where we need to get to, by the end of the season.”

“A positive from tonight is that we have guys moving offensively, and we need that to succeed throughout the whole season”

“We have a big week of work coming up here, we are going over to Perth next week which means we have to prepare to meet a very strong team.”

“Tonight it’s good to get the win, it’s good for some guys to see the back of the net and we feel good about that, and all three lines got involved. Even our fourth line stepped up, we had some young guys playing in the mix and it was good to see them get going”

“I think looking ahead to next weekend, there is a lot we can build off from this weekend, from Canberra last night and from tonight structurally and in terms of some detail of our game. From both games there are a lot of things we can correct and that will really help us build on the success throughout the rest of the season”
