Nominate Your Local Heroes For Award

Nominations for the Local Woman of the Year Awards 2023 are now open.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions of a local woman to the electorate of Charlestown.
The Local Woman of the Year Awards is an annual program which recognises and celebrates the support women give to their local communities throughout NSW.
In 2022, Rosalynd O’Shannassy was recognised for her volunteer work with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
“I love to hear stories like Rosalynd’s. She recognised the importance of a life-saving local service and threw her energy behind it.
“With the 2023 award coming up, I would like to hear from local people, and organisations, about women making a difference in the Charlestown electorate who deserve some extra recognition,” Ms Harrison said.
Nominations for the 2023 award are now open.
“You can nominate up until January 11,” Ms Harrison said.
“Please email my office at charlestown@parliament.nsw.gov.au with details of the nomination, including the nominees’ contributions to the community or organisations they belong to, and why they deserve this award.”
