The Newcastle Jets are proud to announce nib as the new Principal Partner of the Club’s A-League Women’s team, marking a significant milestone in the promotion of women’s sport in the region. By sponsoring elite female athletes and promoting active lifestyles, nib is committed to improved health outcomes for women.

Through this key partnership, the nib logo will feature across the front of our A-League women's kits for the next two seasons. They will also become the official health care provider for the entire club. With Northern NSW, including Newcastle and the Hunter Region, boasting the highest football participation per capita in Australia, nib is investing in the future of the sport by supporting community initiatives that encourage participation, inclusion, and wellbeing from the ground up. Newcastle Jets CEO, Tain Drinkwater, welcomed the partnership, saying: “We’re incredibly proud to welcome nib as the Principal Partner of our A-League Women’s team.

This is nib’s first direct investment into women’s football, and it speaks volumes about their commitment to building a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive community. With women’s football continuing to grow across our region and the nation, this partnership is a major step forward for our club and the sport.”

nib Group CEO and Managing Director, Ed Close, added: “These athletes are exceptional on the pitch; they’re role models in our community. Our partnership is about investing in the future of women’s sport, supporting grassroots football, and championing better health and wellbeing for all. At nib, we’re proud to stand alongside these talented players as they inspire the next generation and elevate the game.”

nib is dedicated to building a healthier, more inclusive Australia by championing diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). Since 2022, nib has proudly partnered with the Minerva Network to support elite female athletes through mentoring and leadership development, empowering them on and off the field.

The partnership reflects nib’s broader investment in programs that create opportunities - particularly through sport, where inclusion can drive powerful social change. nib is proud to support elite athletes, including those from Richmond FC and the Newcastle Knights, as part of its commitment to inspire health and wellbeing of the communities it serves.
