Make it MAITLAND this Summer!

Maitland City Council is launching a campaign for residents and visitors to get out and ‘Make It Maitland this summer’. Celebrating the city’s existing food, cultural, natural and heritage experiences, the Make it Maitland campaign will be supported by an exciting program of activities and celebrations taking place across the City this summer.

The programming will include the return of Street Eats, outdoor movies in various locations, a pop up aqua hire at Queens Wharf in Morpeth, Tiger Moth flyovers, a photo competition, and much more.

Mayor of Maitland, Cr Loretta Baker says ‘we want our locals and visitors to really get behind Make it Maitland and enjoy what our great city has to offer this summer.

‘We’re excited that there are programs that can be enjoyed across the whole city. There will be so much going on and something for everyone to get involved in’.

While it will look a little different this year, Australia Day celebrations are included in the programming with more details to be announced soon.

As part of the campaign, business and community groups are encouraged to get involved and tell us about their events and activities happening over summer by visiting mymaitland.com.au

A comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan will be in place for all Council run events and activities.

Council will continue to monitor and adhere to the advice from the Federal and State Governments, including any variation or modification of the public health orders.
