Newcastle's Civic Park is about to get a lot more glamorous. From 4 September to 4 October, the iconic Spiegeltent returns with Loca Vida, a brand-new cabaret-circus spectacle from internationally acclaimed live entertainment company Strut & Fret. New Annual Festival Director Tory Loudon says that's really the point of the whole festival: taking performances out of traditional venues and putting it directly in front of audiences, wherever they happen to be.
