Newcastle is set for another major concert announcement, with Robbie Williams confirmed to perform at McDonald Jones Stadium on 17 November 2026 — the first time the global pop star has played the city.

The announcement marks the third major concert confirmed in as many weeks, with Newcastle now hosting Robbie Williams, Guns N' Roses, and Foo Fighters across what is shaping up to be a historic summer of live music for the Hunter region.

Minister for the Hunter Yasmin Catley summed up the mood. "First it was Guns N' Roses, then the Foo Fighters and now Robbie Williams. Newcastle is officially a world-class stage!" she said. "This isn't just about amazing gigs for locals. It's about pumping money into our economy, supporting local businesses and putting our city on the global map."

Known for global hits including Let Me Entertain You, Angels, and Feel, Williams is one of the most recognisable names in pop music. In a nod to the occasion, City of Newcastle lifeguards will rename Nobbys Beach to Robbie's Beach for the day of the show.

"Robbie, Foo Fighters and Guns N' Roses all landing in Newcastle this year reinforces the Hunter's rapid rise as one of Australia's premier regional event destinations, with major global acts choosing the harbour city for headline shows alongside major international capitals," said Minister for Sport and Tourism Steve Kamper.

Local Member for Newcastle Tim Crakanthorp welcomed the news with a nod to Williams' back catalogue. "Newcastle will certainly be feeling real love as Robbie Williams takes the stage at McDonald Jones Stadium," he said.

With world-class events at McDonald Jones Stadium and the recent opening of Newcastle International Airport, Newcastle is increasingly positioning itself as a major player in the regional visitor economy — and a city that global acts are choosing to put on their touring map.

Tickets and further information are available through official Robbie Williams and Live Nation channels.
