Lake Mac Women in Sport Festival

The Lake Mac Women in Sport Festival is designed to celebrate the athletic excellence of local and national professional and amateur sportswomen, increase awareness of the health and social benefits of taking up sport and exercise and encourage more women and girls to remain active throughout their different life stages. This year’s festival will be held from 4-11 March.
The Festival will allow attendees to try out a wide range of sports, engage with local sporting groups and organisations,
and educate all members of the community about the positive impact sport can have on women's personal and professional lives, particularly regarding empowerment and confidence.
Organisers encourage fathers, sons, brothers, partners, husbands and friends to get behind their mothers, daughters,
sisters, partners, and wives and share the festival experiences with them.
