Knights fever comes to Charlestown Square for winter shopping nights in May

Newcastle Knights NRL and NRLW players, alongside cheerleaders, will visit Charlestown Square this May as part of two special Thursday night shopping events.

Charlestown Square is giving Hunter locals the chance to get closer to the Newcastle Knights, with two special fan nights and a major money-can’t-buy game day experience to be won.

As part of Charlestown Square’s partnership with the Newcastle Knights, the Centre will host Winter Shopping Knight on Thursday 14 May and Thursday 21 May, bringing Newcastle Knights NRL and NRLW players and cheerleaders in-centre for two Thursday night shopping events from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

The events will give local fans the chance to meet Newcastle Knights top players and cheerleaders, win instant prizes and enter the draw to win the Ultimate Knights Fan Experience for two.

There will be one major prize available for each Winter Shopping Knight event, with winners drawn the following morning. Shoppers who attend both events will have the opportunity to enter on both nights.

The Ultimate Knights Fan Experience includes two Corporate Hospitality tickets to the Sports Lounge hosted by Knights legend Kurt Gidley, premium food and beverage, undercover grandstand seating and live music.

The winning fans will also receive a premium Knights merchandise pack valued at more than $500, a pre-game walkthrough of the Knights Centre of Excellence, a behind-the-scenes tunnel run out experience, a meet and greet with the Coach, and the opportunity to walk through the tunnel and onto the field pre-game.

Charlestown Square Marketing Manager, Sarah Kane, said the event is about celebrating local pride and giving Hunter families and Knights fans a unique way to connect with the club.

To enter, customers simply need to shop in-centre at selected stores between 5:00pm and 9:00pm on either Thursday 14 May or Thursday 21 May, validate their receipt at the activation cart and complete an entry form.

With fashion, dining, entertainment and lifestyle retailers under one roof, Charlestown Square is encouraging locals to make a night of it, refresh their winter wardrobe and enjoy a special Knights fan moment in-centre.
