Entries are open for the region’s most prestigious business awards, the Business Hunter Awards, with 19 categories available to celebrate our top businesses, organisations and employees.

The Business Hunter Awards celebrate the drive, innovation and resilience of the people and businesses shaping our region, with winners in selected categories also having the opportunity to vie for a Business NSW Award.

Last year, Hunter businesses Hyphen Health, Whiteley and Saphi Engineering went on to win state crowns in their categories, gaining valuable business exposure and highlighting the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship in our region. Whiteley took out the coveted NSW Business of the Year award.

‘Whether you’re a business of two or 200, entering is your chance to stand out, be recognised and share your story with the wider business community,” Business Hunter CEO Bob Hawes said.

“Past finalists have gained media exposure, new connections, and a major boost in credibility – both within their industry and with customers.”

The Business Hunter Awards feature categories for all types of businesses, from sole traders to large corporates, as well as community organisations, business leaders, outstanding employees, employers of choice, local chambers, innovators, sustainability champions and more.

Entry is free and open to businesses within the region that are members of Business Hunter, Business NSW or an aligned local chamber of commerce. Businesses that aren’t currently members can sign up for an Insights or free MyBusiness membership on the Business NSW website and instantly become eligible to enter.

The Awards culminate in a glittering ceremony for over 500 people, which is the social highlight of the regional business calendar. This year’s event will be held at NEX on Friday 12 September.

Entries for the Business Hunter Awards are open until Friday 30 May. For more information on the awards, or to enter, go to the Business Hunter website.
