Entries Open for the Young Archie Lake Macquarie

The Museum of Art and Culture, yapang (MAC yapang) is thrilled to be hosting the prestigious Archibald Prize 2022 regional tour from 8 April - 21 May.
To support the exhibition MAC yapang will also host the Young Archie Lake Macquarie competition. The Young Archie runs alongside the Archibald Prize and is a celebration of young Australian talent – inviting artists between the ages of 5 and 18 to submit a portrait of ‘someone who is special to them and plays a significant role in their life’.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES
· Age 5 - 8
· Age 9 - 12
· Age 13 - 15
· Age 15 - 18
IMPORTANT DATES
· Opening Event for Finalist and their families Sunday 26 March 1pm - 2.30pm
· Entries must be received before 12 March 2023
· Finalists will be displayed to the public 23 March - 21 May 2023
· Finalists and winners will be announced on 24 March 2023
· Works not selected will be returned by post (if stamped envelope supplied) 23 - 26 April 2023
