Eddie Izzard Brings The Remix Tour to Newcastle

Comedy legend Eddie Izzard is heading to Newcastle's Civic Theatre on Thursday, 28 May 2025, bringing with her The Remix Tour Live — a spectacular celebration of 35 years of boundary-pushing stand-up comedy.

Inspired by her ever-loyal audiences, Eddie has curated and reimagined some of her favourite comedy highlights from across her remarkable career, spanning from Live at the Ambassadors in 1993 through to Wunderbar in 2019.

Ever wondered what became of Darth Vader and Mr Stevens? Did the monkey ever come down from the tree? Did the pears ever ripen - and will God ever appear? The Remix Tour is your glorious chance to maybe find answers or discover more questions about those beloved Izzard conundrums. And with Eddie, expect the unexpected — it's highly likely no two nights will be exactly the same.

As Eddie herself puts it: "In the first 35 years of my stand-up career, I came up with many weird and crazy comedy stories. The ones I like the best will be in my 2025 live Remix Tour."

Actor, comedian, and multi-marathon runner, Eddie Izzard has spent three and a half decades redefining what comedy can be. Her West End debut in 1993 earned her an Olivier Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement, and she went on to produce a succession of critically acclaimed shows — Unrepeatable, Definite Article, Glorious, Dress to Kill, Circle, Sexie and Stripped, Force Majeure, and Wunderbar. Force Majeure became the most extensive comedy tour in history, playing across more than 45 countries and all 50 US states. She now tours in four languages: English, French, German, and Spanish.
