From the West End to Newcastle Beach, EASEL’D is a month-long painting event in September with 100 artists taking to the streets of Newcastle’s CBD, bringing broad brushstrokes of brilliance to portable walls, businesses and outdoor spaces. Presented by The Wall Station and supported by the City of Newcastle’s Special Business Rate Grant Funding, EASEL’D features 40 curated artists at live painting events and artist residencies, and over 60 community and amateur artists participating in free outdoor painting workshops. All EASEL’D events are free. EASEL’D is an opportunity for everyone to meet artists, watch them work, explore artist residency walking trails, listen to the podcast series by Delia Bell and attend free art workshops in the city.
