“We are super excited to finally be able to announce new dates for our Australian tour. It was a difficult decision to postpone the December tour but we are coming back in August with a bigger tour and a bigger show!”

Double Grammy® nominees Midland have sought to reintroduce the Western plains, Laurel Canyon-cum-Bakersfield and Lone Star juke joints to Country music since coming together at a friend’s wedding over common influences and the need for a return to this sort of post-Urban Cowboy Country. Country music radio and fans very quickly fell in love with the larrikin trio - lead vocalist Mark Wystrach lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy - with awards and recognition coming swiftly. ‘On The Rocks’ (big Machine Records), released in 2017 was declared “the year’s best Country album” by Washington Post and rave reviews across numerous outlets including Rolling Stone Magazine and Los Angeles Times.

In 2018, MIDLAND received their first Grammy Awards nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the fan favourite ‘Drinkin’ Problem’. Midland was also named New Vocal Group of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards and nominated for three CMA Awards including Vocal Group of the Year, Single of the Year for “Drinkin’ Problem” and New Artist of the Year.

Their second album LET IT ROLL was a top five release on the Australian Country album ARIA Charts in 2019 and coincided with their first visit to Australia as part of the international contingent headlining the inaugural C2C Music festival in September 2019. Showcasing their Texas County/traditional country style, they gripped a local audience that loved their retro 70s country style and songs about lost love, endless desert roads, electric rodeos and drinkin’ problems.

Midland’s most recent album is THE LAST RESORT: GREETINGS FROM (Big Machine/UMA), released in May 2022. The trio spent the pandemic exploring their creative depths, from progressive Country that grew out of “Urban Cowboy” through Dwight Yoakam’s post-traditionalism, and arrive with their third studio album. Midland once again tap into that post-urban cowboy sound that their fans love.

Midland’s special guest is Australia’s own country music superstar Travis Collins. Collins is a regular mainstage fixture at Australia’s peak country music festivals and routinely plays to sold-out crowds across the country. His most recent album, Wreck Me (2020) reached No.1 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart, debuting in the Top 10 of the ARIA Albums Chart. It also landed Collins his second ARIA Awards nomination for Best Country Album. Collins is a multiple Golden Guitar Award winner.
