Celebrate Christmas in the City

Christmas. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it! And this year you can jump right into the silly season and get into the spirit of the season thanks to City of Newcastle, when their team of elves light up Wheeler Place with a giant Christmas tree and free entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights during December.

Come along and take a photo with Santa and his elves and stick around for the family-friendly live entertainment including carol singers, a brass band and more.

If you fancy a bite to eat, dine amongst the fairy lights at the Civic Café & Bar, which will be open for food and drinks, including some of the best pizza in Newcastle.
