Ausmusic T-shirt Day at The Beach Hotel Merewether

The Beaches Hotel is a huge supporter and champion of local musicians and Aussie music as a whole. They love being able to give emerging young artists a platform to perform.
On Friday 18th November The Beaches Hotel are proudly taking part in Ausmusic T-shirt Day by putting on a very special charity gig that raises money for those in music doing it tough. They are the only venue in Newcastle to get behind this important initiative by ARIA, Triple J and Support Act.
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is an annual day of fun and awareness to celebrate Aussie music and raise urgently needed funds for music workers in crisis. After the last few shocking years of bushfires, pandemic, floods and now the sky-high cost of living, the music industry needs your help more than ever before.
The Beaches Hotel are putting on a night of fun with a very special gig celebrating Aussie musician Hollie Col supported by Berlyn and Lachlan Edwards.
Hollie Col is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter whose loveable charm & signature sound of guitar-infused pop has led to an army of highly engaged cult-like fans spread across the globe with new artwork and fan accounts seemingly growing by the day.
Hollie’s new single Reruns is the first taste of collaborating with acclaimed producer & songwriter Dylan Nash (Angus & Julia Stone) and is the follow-up single to Forgot to Love You which was described as a “near-perfect song” by Triple J and added to rotation on MTV Hits.
Heavily inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers and HAIM, her music has been streamed over six million times on Spotify.
While her self-directed music videos with an emphasis on storytelling and LGBTQIA+ representation have brought in over 12 million views and 100 thousand subscribers on YouTube.
These feats have helped Hollie sell out all her headline Australian gigs weeks before their scheduled date and complete two UK/European Tours supporting Harrison Storm & Sons of the East.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their favourite Aussie band or musician t-shirt, whether it be King Gizzard, Tame Impala or The Wiggles, and join us for a night of amazing live music and fun and support this amazing cause.
Tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to the charity Support Act. www.thebeachhotel.com.au/aus-music-t-shirt-day
