Man with arm tattoos and an amused expression stands in front of a colorful mural featuring a large black bird. Vibrant and artistic setting.

We are excited to celebrate the spirit of Warners Bay with the launch of a stunning new mural at Warners Bay Village.

This vibrant artwork was created by celebrated local artist, Jordan Lucky, and complements the existing pelican mural on the outside of the shopping centre. The mural is painted across three walls of the pedestrian ramp leading down to the underground carpark.

Artist Jordan Lucky from Playstate was inspired to create a design that truly reflects the grace and diversity of the Australian landscape, and its flora and fauna.

The result is a breathtaking mural that showcases the beauty of the black cockatoo, kookaburra and pelican.

Jordan feels blessed to bring world-class murals to Warners Bay and we are thrilled at the beauty he has brought to the Centre.

“Warners Bay is always a pleasure to visit. These murals are the second addition to the Centre and compliment the iconic side wall Playstate previously installed for the shopping centre in 2021. The compounding of these projects creates a powerful internal/external cohesion,” he said.

“We installed three new additional murals over a few weeks of night shifts. A kookaburra sitting perched, watching the world go by. Then the gorgeous landing pelican, something all locals love watching of an afternoon. Lastly the centre piece, a larger than life black cockatoo mid-flight surrounded by vibrant natives. Along with the murals our team also updated the colour scheme of the interior carpark concourse to bring a unique and warm atmosphere to the entrance of the shopping centre, with help from local trade painting wiz, Painting by Josh.”

Jordan has a strong connection to the location area and is passionate about showcasing his art and creativity to the local community.

“I have been visiting the area since I was a child with Nan and Pop living around the corner. To see the thriving community growing more colourful with support from Warners Bay Village makes me feel so positive, then you start to hear the kind words of the locals! It’s been received with such love from the community that I can’t say thank you enough! It’s great to see people of all ages interacting with the murals.”

We are proud to bring this project to the Warners Bay community and encourage everyone to take a look the next time they are in Centre.
