Cessnock City Council’s Economic Development Team has five $100 gourmet hampers made by the Hunter Valley Visitor Centre to give away as part of its ongoing Support Local campaign.

For the month of October, residents are encouraged to post to Facebook or Instagram and share in 25 words or less what their favourite Hunter Valley wine, beer, spirit or liqueur is.

For the entry to be valid, ensure you tag the local business, include a photo, and use the campaign hashtag #SupportLocalCessnock. Residents can enter as many times as they like and winners will be selected at random.

Cessnock City Council Mayor Jay Suvaal said we were lucky to have so many wonderful wine, beer and spirit makers in our region.

“The Hunter Valley is world renowned for its award-winning wineries, and we also have fantastic breweries and distilleries right on our doorstep,” Mayor Suvaal said.

“This initiative is a great opportunity to support these local businesses by giving them a well-deserved shout out on social media.”

This competition will run from 1 to 31 October 2022. For terms and conditions, visit the Advance Greater Cessnock website and be sure to follow the Advance Cessnock City Facebook page to stay up-to-date with the Support Local campaign.
