$5 Million Worth of Cars Set to Roll into Morpeth
The Rotary Club of East Maitland are proudly presenting the annual Morpeth Motorama Sunday 5th March 2023, on the picturesque grounds of Closebourne House, 365 Morpeth Rd, Morpeth NSW 2321.
The event will draw motor enthusiasts from all over Australia bringing an estimated 535 rare vintage, veteran and modern cars, army vehicles of all shapes and sizes, commercial and lightweight trucks; and motorbikes, to the historic town of Morpeth worth an estimated $5 million.
Enthusiasts wishing to put their vehicle on display will need to be rolling in by 8:30am with a $10 entry fee and the public display will be from 10am – 2pm with gold coin donation.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the East Maitland Rotary Club who are providing funds for family accommodation at Maitland Hospital. Rotary is being supported by Lend Lease, It Must Be Morpeth Association and Maitland Classic Motor Association.
Hundreds are expected to flock to the event, bringing a boon for traders. The annual Morpeth Motorama is a highlight of the Car Rally season, not only for those who own the vehicles, but for the long suffering spouses who are brought along for the journey. The Morpeth car show is held at one of the very few places where spouses can wander into the town’s galleries, boutiques, the Morpeth Antique Centre, specialty stores and numerous cafes, while their other halves spend the day with fellow motor enthusiasts.
There will be entertainment on site throughout the day for all ages including children's activities, trade stalls, food, cold drinks and coffee. Motor enthusiasts will be in their element with model cars and automotive products creating the ultimate car lovers’ day out. There are prizes up for grabs for the event provided by the It Must Be Morpeth Association.
