Newcastle is a relaxed and active city with the reputation for having a healthy work-life balance – so it's no surprise that Newcastle's first Health and Fitness Festival is happening next month at The Station on Saturday October 12.
Heather Foat of Liv4Yoga is the founder of this much anticipated event, also known in Newcastle for starting Beer + Yoga at The Station, and Wind Down Wednesdays in Wickham. The event promises to be fun-filled and family friendly, including various fitness classes, demonstrations, talks from health professionals, plus a good range of food vendors, organic wine and beer in a relaxing atmosphere.
The schedule is packed with events from 8.30am–6pm, where you can try your hand at yoga, meditation, doga, pilates, ju-jitzu, pole dancing and more. Talks include topics such as emotional and mental wellbeing, and nutrition. Best of all – it's all FREE! For the full schedule of events, visit
