It’s a beautiful neck of the woods, and you’d be hard-pushed to find a Novocastrian who hasn’t spent at least a weekend in the area, but what does the Manning taste like? Divine seafood, crumbling cheese, snap-fresh produce… and we’re still just on the entrées!
If your tastebuds are already watering, get along to the fourth annual TasteFest on the Manning on 11 January 2020, where the full deliciousness of the Manning Valley will be unleashed!
Hosted by the Taree Lions Club, TasteFest on the Manning is super-family-friendly with entertainment and food for all ages. It’s a volunteer-powered event run for the community, with all proceeds going to charity. The 2020 event will be extra special with the community joining together to celebrate their overwhelming resilience and recovery in the wake of the November bushfires that devastated parts of the area. Charities to be supported by this year's event include the Firefighters that helped to save so many lives and homes as well as Manning Valley Push for Palliative Care and Manning Valley Can Assist.
Set on the foreshore of the Manning, the festival will run alongside the annual Summer Rowing Regatta. Pull up your rug by the river, savour that treat from the food truck, or check out the boutique beer garden. Because it's all about celebrating the region’s love of food and creating those special Summer moments.
There will be a range of seating and standing table options and lots of undercover areas. The event will go ahead rain, hail or shine and remember, the Manning foreshore is the coolest place to be on a warm Summers day!
It’s a community festival that celebrates good food, craft beer and fine wine (and serves up a tonne of fun along the way). So loosen the belt, clear your plate and taste Manning Valley for yourself. For more information, visit www.tastefest.com.au
