November Horoscopes

October 31, 2019

TANYA OBREZA was born in Slovenija and emigrated to Australia with her parents as a young girl. It was during her first visit to England that Tanya was introduced to astrology, and in 1980 she gained her London Faculty of Astrological Studies qualifications. Over the years, Tanya has established an extensive and wide-ranging international following, mostly due to her reassuring, down to earth presence.

Scorpio 23 October – 21 November

Mercury is at a standstill – a warning that someone’s timing is off. Mercury rules siblings, communication, cars, technology and travel. So take care, confusion will surround these areas until early December. Soon after, singles catch the attention of someone special. Couples push towards material achievement. But there could still be pressure to fall in line with another’s needs. End result: tetchiness. Don’t fret. The cosmos promises red hot passion through the summer months. The new year, too, offers the unexpected. Travel is likely, although most trips look like being short dashes. But there’s still much to be said for exploring unmapped territory – making new contacts, for a start.

Sagittarius November 22 – December 21
Despite your best efforts, a backward moving Mercury seems all too happy to point out life’s limitations. Still, it’ll take more than a tetchy cosmos to choke the greater dream. Use tact and your natural Sagittarian charm to resolve dilemmas. By month’s end, you have the cosmos back on side. Romantic prospects become electrifying, though stability can’t be assured. If someone is complicating a simple issue, stay solo.

Capricorn December 22 – January 19
Capricorns work hard to keep friendships solid, so it throws you when a good mate seems to be unreliable. Is there someone new vying for their attention? Give them the benefit of the doubt. You can still enjoy their company, even if you don’t feel quite as close. At work, play your cards close to your chest. Your financial and personal affairs will enjoy more chance of quiet success if they remain unadvertised for the time being.

Aquarius 20 January – 18 February
It’s time to kick back, relax and not take yourself or others too seriously. With Mercury out of phase and creating negative thoughts, excessive anxiety could make you irritable. Think carefully about creating rifts that you’re likely to regret. To ward off Mercury’s pessimism, do everything in your power to alleviate stress and have fun. A little romance and revelry might do. Some healthy exercise too.

Pisces 19 February – 20 March
You can’t enjoy a relationship when you don’t know where you stand, so November’s Mercury retrograde is a trigger to sort out uncertain issues. Don’t put off tricky conversations, even if the situation is complicated. It’s not until early December that the romance tables turn in your favour. At work, however, give yourself plenty of chances to experiment with different styles or projects. Escape the same old rut.

Aries 21 March – 20 April
Sometimes it seems that fate gives with one hand and takes with the other. Thankfully, November signals the end of this struggle. Once again, you’re motivated and heading towards success. If you have a brilliant proposal in the back of your mind, bring it to the fore. If you’re more inclined to hit the road for a while, now is your chance to roam. It looks like a huge financial leap is also on the horizon.

Taurus 21 April – 20 May
With plenty of your zodiac neighbours heading for the hammock, here’s your chance to shine. Major planets overrule a lazy Mercury, all vying to give you that extra spark. Indeed, things are going so well that you might shelve professional aspirations for now -especially when unexpected detours hold the promise of new love or friendship. A soul mate may be closer than you think.

Gemini 21 May – 21 June
Here we go again, with Mercury starting to back-peddle after the 2nd. Your world seems to crash in all directions this month, sending change and upheaval your way. Communications are delayed; money doesn’t arrive on time, electronics break down. If this pattern feels familiar, that's because you’ve dealt with such cosmic mischief before. Take a deep breath. This, too, shall pass.

Cancer 22 June – 22 July
Every month has its complications, and Mercury’s backflip creates even more delays. Don’t worry. Focus on your fabulous friendships instead. Any hint of monotony is overshadowed by your thrills-and-spills attitude. Whether this leads to disappointment depends on your expectations. Someone you considered a potential lover may become a lifelong friend instead.

Leo 23 July – 22 August
Many of the hoops to jump through, rules or regulations, have been removed almost by magic, in order to make your life just a bit easier. Help comes from seemingly strange directions. It is almost as if a loving force is saying, “here…I’ll take care of that for you.” Things that should normally never be possible or even make sense are likely to occur now. Make the most of November’s cosmic support.

Virgo 23 August – 22 September
Your ruler, Mercury, is out of phase for a couple of weeks and that spells short term trouble. Life may become a tad more complex now, so try to simplify your daily existence by avoiding headaches, stress or physical or mental fatigue. Tackle one thing at a time and don’t make major decisions or purchases. The good news: love brings surprises, though possibly the illicit kind.

Libra 23 September – 22 October
It’s time to organise work and money matters, as the communication planet Mercury turns backwards in Scorpio, your second house of finances, until early December. Mishaps and misunderstandings could create monetary meltdowns, so take some precautionary measures – such as switching up your passwords on online accounts and backing up important data. And don’t sign any important documents.
