Hunter Manufacturing Awards Night - The Hunter Manufacturing Awards Inc. (HMA) celebrated its 15th year, recognising and acknowledging manufacturing in the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast regions at a gala event, held on Friday, 11th October. Appreciation and thanks were extended to Downer, Major Sponsor for the 12th year. Without companies such as Downer, it would be difficult for HMA to continue to provide the recognition our Region’s manufacturers deserve.
Creativity sprouts at Waterford as Mayor launches inaugural gardening competition - On Saturday 19 October, the green thumbs of Waterford came together to celebrate the launch of the inaugural Waterford Gardening Competition. Maitland Mayor Cr Loretta Baker joined AVID Property Group’s (AVID) Community Development Officer Olivia Power to officially launch the competition in a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Waterford Kitchen Garden.
Newcastle International Half Marathon - The inaugural Newcastle International Half Marathon was an accredited half marathon course staged along and around the picturesque Newcastle Harbour and local beaches, parks and Newcastle Foreshore. The event celebrated Newcastle’s multicultural lifestyle and growing international ties and was a great opportunity for locals to take part in an international running event.
