This much-anticipated event for craft lovers is in the area this month. Running from September 26 to 29 at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, the show features inspiring craft displays, international and local quilts, papercraft, weaving and local works, along with classes in jewellery making, watercolour and brush lettering. Running all day is a huge program of free workshops in a variety of crafts for you to learn new skills and get creative with likeminded crafters.

Showcasing four guest artists each delivering demonstrations or workshops in their speciality craft, the Show has something for everyone. Niki McDonald with modern needlepoint, Leanne Harvey with modern quilting, Rainie Owen with weaving and Natalie May with papercraft and art techniques will be demonstrating each day.
The show brings an array of experts in various crafts who are on hand to give advice and show new techniques and industry trends.
Craft is for all ages and seems to be having a revival with a whole new generation of people appreciating the quality of handmade.
