A Little Bit of Italy in Broke

Back for its' 14th year is the Hunter Valley's premier Italian food and wine festival, A Little Bit of Italy in Broke. On April 13th & 14th the Broke Wine Region will be on show with 12 cellar doors offering their wine and olive products, workshops, festivities and of course amazing Italian-inspired food! Workshops include gnocchi making, Italian cooking demos, cheese and wine pairing, olive oil appreciation and vineyard tours. Italian style food will be available at all wineries, such as pizza, aranchini, antipasto, gelato and coffee – dinner will also be available at Margan, Catherinvale and Nightingale Wines (book ahead for this).

To make the most of the weekend it's recommended you plan ahead for accommodation or transport. Tickets for the event are $16.90, and Rover will be running a shuttle bus between venues plus return trips from local accommodation on the Saturday only (at an extra cost). A free shuttle will also be running on the Saturday return from McTaggert Park to Ascella Organic Wine and Catherine Vale Vineyard. See the schedule here.
