Amaze your Senses, Shop ‘til you Drop AND Amuse the kids!

It is no surprise that Hunter Valley Gardens has become one of Australia’s premier tourist destinations and earned a place in the NSW Tourism Hall of Fame. Opened to the public in 2003 and spanning over sixty acres, the spectacular gardens amaze visitor’s year after year with its eight kilometres of walking paths, more than six thousand trees, one million ground covers, six hundred thousand shrubs and sensational sights, colours, and fragrances of a standard not found elsewhere in Australia.

The 10 stunning feature gardens allow visitors to “take a trip around the world” as they explore each new garden with an air of discovery at every turn – at true testament to nature’s beauty. A favourite for many visitors, young and old, is the Storybook Garden, as it provides an opportunity to revisit childhood memories and step back in time with all the favourite fairy-tale characters.

When visiting the Gardens don’t forget to pay a visit to the Shopping Village. Located adjacent to the Gardens, the Shopping Village is home to 23 boutique and specialty shops, restaurants and cafes. Also located on the Hunter Valley Gardens grounds is a wedding chapel, a children’s playground, extensive picnic facilities and a putt-putt and aqua golf driving range to keep the kids, big and small amused.

But it isn’t just the beautiful gardens that attract visitors. Hunter Valley Gardens host a number of annual events throughout the year which sees an increase in visitors flocking to the Hunter Valley.

Coming up this month is the popular Snowtime in the Garden, which will transform the Gardens into an icy wonderland over three huge weeks, including the winter school holidays. Upcoming events also include Winter Rose Pruning and the Hunter Valley Running Festival in July, Spring Festival of Flowers in September, Rose Spectacular in October and of course the annual Christmas Lights Spectacular.

One visit simply won’t be enough to take in all there is to see and do at Hunter Valley Gardens! For more information about Hunter Valley Gardens visit www.hvg.com.au  and for the Shopping Village visit  www.huntervalleyshopping.com.au
