Unique Wedding venues capture the heart of Newcastle

If you’re looking for a venue that is uniquely Novocastrian and showcases our beautiful city within stunning function spaces, then look no further than Newcastle Venues.

Offering venues that capture the very essence that makes our city so special (a blend of civic history with youthful energy and sun-soaked coastal beauty) and with three iconic city venues to choose from, Newcastle Venues offers a suite of venues perfect for every bride and weddings of all shapes and sizes.

Newcastle City Hall
Designed by famed 1920s theatre architect Henry Eli White, and an elaborate example of his famous 'Spanish Baroque' style, Newcastle City Hall boasts architecture and ambience as dramatic as the performances that have graced the stages of this magnificent building for more than 80 years.

Stunning architecture, arched windows, carved ceilings and polished floors all make City Hall the ideal location for intimate weddings or grand occasions of more than 200 guests. Newcastle City Hall offers classical style elegance and grandeur at an affordable price.

With seven function and conference rooms, from the intimate Waratah Room to the grand scale of the 820 seat Concert Hall, Newcastle City Hall offers a flexibility unrivalled by any other event venue in Newcastle.

Brides will love the exquisite Concert Hall with its romantic soft tones and plenty of space to dance the night away. The Banquet Room and Hunter Room offer equally elegant space for your night to remember.

Fort Scratchley
Fort Scratchley is situated on the eastern end of Newcastle on the site formerly named Braithwaite’s  Head by Lieutenant John Shortland. Convicts created Australia’s first coal mine here in 1801 – which means it is steeped in a history that is unique to the area.

Stunning grounds with an awe-inspiring backdrop and views across the shimmering seas make Fort Scratchley just perfect for taking your vows or feasting with family and loved ones. Fort Scratchley offers contemporary cuisine and packages to suit every occasion.

For intimate weddings, the Barracks provides a unique and atmospheric venue with unequalled views. The lightfilled Function Room with its al fresco verandah offers a contemporary space just perfect to celebrate your love.

Newcastle Museum
Stunning exposed brickwork and an eclectic mix of industrial and contemporary design make Newcastle Museum an exceptional and authentic venue in the heart of the city. As a wedding venue, Newcastle Museum offers the ambience of the original railway workshop combined with the functionality of a modern function centre.

From the jaw-dropping Earth Ball to the soaring ceilings and natural acoustics of the Link Gallery, the Museum is a photographer's dream and the perfect backdrop for your wedding. The Newcastle Museum has truly unique spaces and is a spectacular alternative to traditional function centres and hotels to host your wedding. With a variety of over six spaces to choose from, Newcastle Museum is ideal for any type of wedding, be it extravagant or intimate.
