An Abundance of Fresh Healthy Food at HUNTER ORGANIC FOODS.

Over the past 18 years, Hunter Organic Foods have built up solid relationships with dozens of suppliers to bring Novocastrians an abundant array of organic fresh produce and other grocery items. They’re a one-stop shop for all your organic and gluten free requirements but still intimate enough to continue to offer personal ‘down-to-earth’ service.

In 2013, Hunter Organic Foods relocated to the corner of Glebe Road and Watkins Street in The Junction which enabled them to bring to life the Organic Seed Cafe – a cafe dedicated to providing simple, ethical, eco-friendly and delicious food.

The store continues to thrive with new organic, gluten free and environmentally friendly products being added each week. Their aim is not just to provide food that is good for you (as important as that is) but that has been produced sustainably and where the producers receive a fair price for their skills and expertise.

In addition, as a business they aim to be mindful of the impact they have on the environment and do everything they can to reduce wastage, re-direct what ‘waste’ they do have to appropriate channels (eg compost farms, hungry chickens, recycling), and take pro-active steps to reduce their energy use and reliance on carbon-polluting electricity generators.

For example, Hunter Organic Foods only use "green power" and have installed a state of the art solar voltaic system on their roof. If your health is important to you and you’re looking for:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables from certified local growers where possible and certified wholesalers generally;

  • Fresh meat and poultry from Green Cow Wholesalers (including gluten free and preservative free sausages and nitrate free bacon);

  • A wide range of bread products – sourdoughs, gluten free, wheat alternatives, sprouted, sliced, artisan, flat breads and oils; and

  • A large selection of bulk items including nuts, seeds, fruits, oils, honey, tamari, cleaning products, teas, herbs, chocolates, carob treats, coconut products… the list goes on.

Then Hunter Organic Foods in the Junction is your place! Visit www.hunterorganics.com.au for more information or enquire about their home delivered fruit and vegetable service phone 4929 5787.
