Newcastle Jockey Club is set for a sizzling Summer of racing starting with the Annual Boxing Day Races, now on sale to the public.
Racegoers are encouraged to get in early and pre-purchase their tickets via www.proticket.com.au to avoid the disappointment of missing out on the hottest racing event this summer.
With a DJ on the lawn, live racing action and the cricket being telecast on all plasma TV's in the Courtyard Room, event organisers have everyone covered.
NJC Racecourse Operations Manager, Peter Birch said the attendee numbers would be capped for the popular day and encouraged people to book their tickets early.
"We are expecting some solid crowds in the lead up to the summer holidays as businesses celebrate Christmas with their staff, but Boxing Day is all about family and friends," Mr Birch said.
"In the general admission area it is a day for everyone to enjoy Summer at the races. For NJC Members, Boxing Day is the day we encourage them to enjoy the Members Lounge with their family."
TICKETS PRE-PURCHASE: General Entry @ $20 (+ticketing fee) can be prepurchased via the Pro-Ticket website. Members Day passes can only be purchased by a current NJC Member (Limit 2 per Member) at a price of $55 each including gate entry at the NJC.
TICKETS PURCHASE ON THE DAY: General Entry on the day will be @ $25 through NJC turnstiles. Members Day passes can only be purchased by a current NJC Member (Limit 2 per Member) at a price of $35 each plus the gate entry fee of $25 = $60.
