Sales heat up at Heaton Park

A boutique townhome project on the doorstep of the University of Newcastle has struck a chord with buyers, leaving just four homes remaining for sale.

Heaton Park Place, developed by locally based Koslow Property Group and marketed by PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, comprises a collection of eight designer townhomes priced from $440,000.

Marketing agent Mark Kentwell says the townhomes are a cut above competing product and feature quality finishes, ducted air conditioning and stone bench tops.

"This means they will cater to discerning end users but are also attractive to investors who will be able to attract high calibre tenants," he said.

"The location is also a major selling point, being just under a kilometre from the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus and 600 metres from Stockland Mall."

"Newcastle CBD and its nightlife, bars and beaches are just 16 minutes away and the final stage of the Newcastle Inner City Bypass will link the area to John Hunter Hospital."

"With just 50 per cent of the initial offering left for sale, we expect an imminent sell-out."

Heaton Park Place’s townhomes feature three large bedrooms plus study nook, open plan lounge and kitchen and a lock-up garage, with approximately 115sqm of internal living space plus a balcony and outdoor entertaining area.

Rental appraisals suggest approximate returns of $450 per week unfurnished and up to $560 per week furnished and leased per room.

The homes are under construction and due for completion by the end of 2015.

Koslow Property Group specialises in boutique residential projects and recently completed a townhome development at 240 Newcastle Street, Jesmond.

Heaton Park Place is located at 18-20 Street, Jesmond. For more information or to inspect, contact Mark Kentwell from PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie on 4926 0600.
