Wear Red in Feb for Heart Health

Sadly, heart disease is the single biggest cause of death in Australia. So this coming February (or REDFEB as we like to call it), Heart Research Australia (HRA) is inviting Australians to wear RED for someone close to their heart to help keep families together for longer.

Officially, "Wear Red Day" is 14 February (Valentine's Day), but HRA is raising awareness for the whole month. Getting involved is simple - wear red and donate!

Heart Research Australia supports world-class and emerging researchers to conduct groundbreaking research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, with REDFEB focusing on the signs and symptoms of a heart attack for both men and women.

There is a current perception that heart disease is an 'older' men's disease, so HRA aims to debunk this myth and educate

younger Australians, including women, to be aware of their heart health risks and what signs to be aware of should a heart attack occur.
