If this sounds like you, you may be eligible for a scholarship of $2500 to assist you in undertaking further education.
The scholarships are an initiative of Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent to assist local residents in achieving their educational goals.
Mayor Pynsent said it’s aimed at developing the skills and knowledge of residents.
“We want you to reach your full potential and we’re particularly interested in supporting industry sectors that offer gainful employment in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA).”
These sectors include hospitality, tourism, education, engineering, medical, aged care, communication and manufacturing.
The program has been running since 2002 seeing 218 students benefit and $545,000 in scholarships awarded. Council would like to recognise and acknowledge the sponsors of the 2021 program.

· Solo Resource Recovery
· Cole Cornford
